Mas de La Prade, with its two gîtes and swimming-pool, offers a perfect location for a family holiday close to the Canal du Midi and Carcassonne in the sunny Languedoc region of south-west France.
A choice of tastefully restored gîtes
The farm buildings form three sides of a quadrangle inside of which is a colourful garden.
The south-facing Olive gîte, with its three bedrooms sleeping up to six, looks out onto its own terrace and the garden beyond.
The two-bedroomed Lavender gîte that sleeps four also has its own terrace. Its east side looks out onto its own garden with the woods beyond, and its south side looks out onto a small grenadine courtyard with the garden off to the side.
Both the Olive gîte and the Lavender gîte have been tastefully restored retaining the features of a two-hundred-year-old rural farm house, such as exposed beams and stone work, and yet they provide every comfort for your holiday.
Fully secured swimming-pool
One of the quadrangle's farm buildings has been completely restored and is now the fabulous setting for the swimming-pool.
The honey coloured walls of the swimming-pool enclosure with their pan-tiled tops along with the lavender and olive tree give a warm Mediterranean feel to the swimming-pool.
The four walls of the swimming-pool enclosure provide shelter from the wind and plenty of shade from the sun.
However, most importantly, the swimming-pool is set in a completely secure environment. The gate to the swimming-pool enclosure is locked with a numeric key pad whose code is to be kept from all children. Parents of small children can be sure that their children are safe and cannot stray to the pool, and so can relax while planning their next trip to Carcassonne or another Cathar Castle.
